Park Team Member — PlayFunia
Pay: $16 per hour
Location: Crossgates Mall, Albany, NY
Job Type: Full-time
About PlayFunia
PlayFunia is an indoor playground where families come to play, celebrate birthdays, and spend time together. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Park Team Member to help provide a safe, clean, and welcoming experience for our guests.
This is a hands-on position that includes customer service, party hosting, coffee and snack preparation, cleaning, decorating, and monitoring the play areas.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide friendly customer service
- Check guests in and make sure required waivers are completed
- Operate the front register and process cash and card payments
- Answer guest questions and explain PlayFunia rules and services
- Prepare coffee and serve packaged snacks and drinks
- Restock drinks, snacks, party supplies, and other items
- Monitor the play areas and make sure guests follow safety rules
- Politely but firmly address unsafe behavior when necessary
- Keep the playground, tables, party rooms, restrooms, and common areas clean
- Host birthday parties and help families throughout their events
- Set up and clean party rooms before and after each party
- Create balloon arches, decorate party tables, and prepare other party decorations for birthdays and special events
- Help with face painting, family events, and promotional activities when needed
- Participate in short social media videos and help create content for PlayFunia
- Complete other daily tasks assigned by management
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Open availability, including weekends and some holidays, is required
- Friendly and comfortable working with children and families
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working in a busy and noisy environment
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, cleaning, and moving throughout the shift
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Comfortable using a register, tablet, or iPad
- Comfortable preparing coffee and handling packaged food and drinks
- Comfortable hosting parties and creating party decorations
- Able to read and communicate in English
Experience with customer service, childcare, birthday parties, balloon decorating, face painting, photography, videography, or social media is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.
