Make-A-Wish Northeast New York will launch its 29th annual Adopt-A-Wish Holiday Campaign with a in-person kickoff, featuring its wish kid ambassadors highlighting the power of a wish. The kickoff will start at 6:00PM on Thursday, November 18, in the lower level Dick’s Sporting Goods Court. [More info to come]
The Adopt-A-Wish Holiday Campaign, unique among the 60 local chapters within Make-A-Wish® America, is critical for Make-A-Wish Northeast New York’s ability to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. The campaign throughout the 518 and 838 area codes features paper stars available for a suggested donation of $5 each. Trustco Bank has generously renewed its role in the campaign as the Presenting Sponsor, and we are thankful for its support and making stars available at all area Trustco branches. In addition, NYSCOPBA will return as a Wish Champion Sponsor.
Stars will be available at Crossgates Mall (lower level by Dave & Buster’s), Aviation Mall, Champlain Centre and at Trustco Bank branches. In addition, stars may be purchased and donations to the campaign made via a dedicated website: http://aawc.givesmart.com. Shoppers at malls and businesses will be able to use a QR code visible on posters and other collateral to access the site.
